About Base44

Base44 is a no-code AI platform for building full-stack apps, websites and AI agents. You describe what you want in plain language and Base44 generates the design, data model and functionality. Its documentation says a managed backend, authentication, integrations and hosting are built in, so a prompt can turn into a live product without wiring up separate services.

Every plan includes AI-powered app building, an integrated backend and database, a responsive visual editor, an analytics dashboard, multi-user editing and collaboration, cloud storage, authentication and user management, marketing tools and debugging tools. Apps can connect to everyday tools such as Gmail, Slack, Notion, Google Drive, HubSpot and Salesforce, and can be kept private, shared with a team or published to the web. Base44 also lets you build AI agents inside apps, or create Superagents that work across your connected tools.

For developers, Base44 offers a developer platform with an SDK, a CLI, a backend service, a Base44 MCP server and a bring-your-own-agent option. Base44 states that users own their code, data and users, and that two-way GitHub sync can export the full source code to your own repository at any time. GitHub integration, in-app code edits and AI model selection appear as plan features on the paid tiers.

Pricing is credit-based. Message credits cover AI messages, and integration credits cover integration actions; exact usage varies by action and by the AI model selected. The Free plan includes 25 message credits and 100 integration credits a month, with up to 5 apps. Paid plans (Starter, Builder, Pro and Elite) add more credits, unlimited apps, custom domains and more features. Yearly billing saves 20%, and Enterprise pricing is custom.

Wix announced its acquisition of Base44 on June 18, 2025, and said Base44 would continue to operate as a distinct product and business.
