Enterprise auth infrastructure
WorkOS gives B2B SaaS teams a hosted identity layer for enterprise requirements that tend to appear during sales, procurement, and security review. The current product surface spans AuthKit for user management, Enterprise SSO for SAML and OIDC connections, Directory Sync for SCIM provisioning, Admin Portal for customer-managed setup, Audit Logs, RBAC and fine-grained authorization, Radar fraud signals, Vault, Pipes, and MCP Auth for AI-agent authorization workflows.
Pricing and rollout model
The pricing anchor should be modeled as pay-as-you-go rather than a single static plan label. WorkOS currently advertises the first 1 million active users for free, additional 1 million active-user blocks at $2,500 per month, and tiered Enterprise SSO connection pricing that steps from $125 per connection to lower per-connection tiers at higher volumes. Directory Sync, annual credits, support, and enterprise commitments should be checked against the live pricing page before a large rollout.
Where it fits
WorkOS is strongest when enterprise identity is a revenue requirement and the product team wants clean APIs and SDKs instead of maintaining identity-provider integrations one by one. It is more specialized than a generic login widget: teams still need to design organization models, authorization boundaries, webhook handling, and customer-admin workflows, but WorkOS reduces the protocol and integration burden around SSO, SCIM, auditability, and B2B account administration.
