S = 5, A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1. Each tool’s score is the arithmetic mean of its votes, using one current public list per member in this category. Omitted tools contribute no vote.
Means round to the nearest tier: S ≥ 4.5, A ≥ 3.5, B ≥ 2.5, C ≥ 1.5, otherwise D. Exact halves round up. Tools within a tier sort by mean, then vote count, then name. Displayed scores are rounded to two decimals; tier thresholds use the unrounded mean.
Fewer than 5 votes is provisional, not a settled consensus. Updates replace earlier votes. Private or moderated lists, private profiles, and tools no longer active in this category are excluded. Lists in subcategories do not vote in the parent category automatically.
These are self-selected community opinions, not editorial scores or a representative survey. Sponsorship never affects the calculation.
