What actually stands behind these scores
Evidence status describes the record, not the product. It is the difference between a review with a reproducible testing trail and one that predates the rules — and it is why no aggregate on this page is presented as a benchmark result.
- Verified402 reviews
- Partially evidenced0 reviews
- Not yet evidenced1 reviews
- Legacy (unclassified)0 reviews
A review is marked Verified only once the rubric version, test date and version, environment, evidence artifact and source-check dates are all present. Every other state is a record that is still missing something, and the methodology page defines each one.
the four axes
Averages, and the verified-only subset
The left column averages every scored review. The right column averages only the reviews whose evidence is Verified. When the two disagree, the verified column is the number to trust — it is the subset whose testing record can actually be reproduced.
| Axis | All scored | Verified only |
|---|---|---|
| Overall | 83.6 | 83.6 |
| Speed | 83.6 | 83.6 |
| Privacy | 82.6 | 82.6 |
| Developer experience | 83.5 | 83.5 |
A dash means no review in that column carries a value for the axis yet. Overall is an editorial verdict rather than the average of the other three, so it can move in the opposite direction to them.
by category
Where the scores run high
Average overall score per category, ranked. A category needs 4 scored tools before it appears — below that the average is one editor's opinion of one tool wearing a category name.
No category yet holds 4 scored tools, the minimum for a publishable average.
axis leaders
The top of each axis
The highest scores recorded on each of the three measured axes. Read the evidence label under each row before quoting the number — a leading score on a legacy record is a leading opinion, not a leading measurement.

Privacy
These are the top rows only. The leaderboard carries every scored tool in one sortable table.
How this was computed
- Scores are aicoolies Score v1 values recorded against a published 0–100 rubric. They are editorial judgments, not benchmark measurements, and nothing on this page is a timed or automated test result.
- One row per tool: where a tool has more than one published review, the newest wins. Discontinued tools are excluded — their score is history, not a ranking.
- A category is only listed once 4 of its tools carry an overall score.
- The verified-only column covers reviews whose rubric version, test date and version, environment, evidence artifact and source-check dates are all recorded.
- A review with no evidence status predates the evidence vocabulary. It is labelled Legacy (unclassified) rather than folded into "not yet evidenced", because an unclassified record is not the same claim as an absent one.
