Grok Bot and Cursor: Coordinating a Team of Agents

Grok Bot makes delegation feel like coordinating a small team: persistent Bots discuss work, hand coding tasks to Cursor Cloud Agents and bring results back for review. Mobile access keeps the workflow useful away from the desktop.

The most interesting part of Grok Bot for me is how several agents can work around one outcome. My arrangement has a coordinating agent and others handling research, coding, review and interface work. They can discuss the task, hand work to Cursor Cloud Agents and assess the returned pull request before bringing it back for a final decision.

That is my experience of the workflow during September 1–5. It changes the way delegation feels: I am managing a small team of roles rather than conducting every exchange with one agent. It does not prove that multiple agents always produce a better answer.

Different roles in one shared workspace

Cursor's official documentation describes persistent named Bots, group conversations and asynchronous handoffs. Groups support two to six Bots. All Bots belonging to one user share one persistent cloud computer, including files and browser sessions; separate roles do not mean separate machines. Each Bot has its own screen on that shared computer.

Coding delegation is a separate capability. Grok Bot can send work to Cursor Cloud Agents running on other computers, subject to existing account controls. This supports the coordinator-and-specialists arrangement without requiring the coordinating Bot to perform every step itself.

The pull request comes back to the conversation

The useful part of my arrangement is the return path. The task is handed off, the proposed change comes back, and agents can discuss the result before presenting it for a decision. Research, interface work and review can contribute to the same outcome.

That discussion is useful context, but agreement between agents is not independent evidence. I still want the result, the relevant checks and unresolved questions to remain visible. This note contains no recorded task transcript or controlled comparison of a single-agent and multi-agent run.

Useful beyond a laptop session

The hosted environment means work can continue while my laptop is closed. Mobile access makes the conversation practical away from the desk. Cursor announced Android support on September 2, including group chats, following parallel work and approving results; iOS is also supported.

The possibilities extend beyond code. One Reddit user described using Grok Bot for inboxes, calendars and administrative work, while reporting that their allowance ran out quickly. Official billing guidance confirms included weekly usage and optional on-demand spending. The account is a useful example, not a benchmark for cost or reliability.

Why I find the arrangement useful

For me, the appeal is continuity: agents keep their roles, pass work between them and return something reviewable without requiring a local app to stay open. The finish line is a result I can assess, rather than the number of agents involved or how confidently they agree.

Limitations

Qualitative experience during September 1–5, 2026. Exact plan, tasks and public artifacts unknown. All of one user's Bots share a cloud computer; delegated Cloud Agents use separate computers. Agreement among agents is not independent proof. No measured reliability or cost comparison.
